It takes two scales to find out how much a scale weighs.
the little bang
This blog is a continuing stream of consciousness which keeps me amused, out of trouble, or at least minimally awake and is user friendly, cost effective, and may occasionally make one smile for no particular rhyme or reason.

The Cubs home opener was canceled due to snow. Finally, there is snow in Chicago while St. Louis is clear. It seems like all this year, it would snow in Saint Louis with Chicago having none. Maybe it's true. He who laughs last, laughs best. Although, it has been my experience that he who laughs last, didn't understand the joke.

I watched Married by America for the first time last night. What a train wreck! You don't want to watch, but you just can't help yourself. Why would anyone allow complete strangers to pick them a mate for life? It really kind of diminishes the sanctity of marriage. I think that a better show would be to bring five married couples together and let America vote on which couple should get a divorce. They then could be awarded one half million dollars each to go their separate ways. I would watch a show called Divorced by America. It could kind of be like the movie "The War of the Roses" with Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas in Prime Time. Perhaps Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman could be the hosts.

I have far too many clocks. I have to change about 20. There are clocks in my vcrs, thermostats, car, stove, microwave, phone; not to mention the clock's on the wall, bookcase, and shelves. All that, plus about 5 watches and 3 or 4 clocks in St. Louis. The sad thing is that no two ever have the same time. I never know if I'm 10 minutes early or 5 minutes late. Some day when I retire, I'm going to get rid of all of them and just use one. That reminds me. I also have a clock that tells me how many years, months, and days before I retire. It will probably break before I get there.
