Yesterday I listened to One by the Beatles. It contains all of their number one hits over the years. I was so wrong. They are definitely not overrated. I guess that I just forgot about some of their best songs. There are even quite a few songs that I was waiting for, but they never made it to number 1 and, therefore, are not on the CD . The only songwriters that I can think of who wrote better lyrics are Simon & Garfunkel. The way that the Beatles were able to create an image with words and match it with music or vice versa was just incredible. I also like the fact that so many of their songs were about love and ordinary people. A lot of music today is filled with anger and hatred.

Christmas was great, but over too soon. There's so much build up and then it just flies by. Such is life.

I bought my Mom a heart shaped necklace from Tiffany. She seemed to like it. I think that everyone in the family was more impressed by the soft blue bag that it came in. Presentation is everything. Every woman should get something from Tiffany at least once in her life.

I got my Dad a U.S. Navy watch. He's so hard to buy for because he has just about everything that he needs. He really liked his Navy days even though World War II was going on at the time. So, I think the watch was a hit.
