I saw Million Dollar Baby yesterday. I think that it might get my vote as best picture of 2004. Clint Eastwood is still a great actor and he's become a great director as well. The film is about a woman of 31, played by Hillary Swank, who wants to be trained to box by the character played by Clint Eastwood. At first, he wants no part of her because she's too old and mainly because he doesn't train girls. After time, he gets to know her better and helps her with her dream. Morgan Freeman has a great role as an ex-boxer who lost his eye in the ring. He helps Clint around the gym with the fighters. The film starts out as a typical boxing tale, but shifts gears in an entirely different direction. The interaction between the three main characters is fantastic. The ending may not feel good like "Rocky", but it's satisfying in its own way.
the little bang
