I watched American Idol last night where they eliminated another singer. I think that they're down to nine now. That must be brutal to be voted one of the bottom three; not knowing if you're staying or going. Plus the singers that are not voted in the bottom three are sometimes made to feel guilty if their performances were bad. Like last night the camera kept focusing on the red-haired sixteen year old boy because he gave a pretty bad performance. It was a little unfair, though. They had to sing a motown song and he's more of a Sinatra/Dean Martin type. It's a little like asking a jockey to play basketball.

I also watched "The OC" last night. It had an interesting plot twist where the Jewish father finds that his mother "the Nana" has lung cancer. It was fascinating to watch how her impending death impacts everyone in the family. She finally relents and decides to start chemo so she can get to know her children and grandchildren better. It was also fun to watch how a family that is Jewish on the father's side and Christian on the mother's side manages to merge different cultures.

Don't forget to change the clocks an hour ahead this weekend or you'll be living in the past until October.
