I can resist everything except temptation. Oscar Wilde

One of the lines from Lady Windermere's Fan playing at the Northlight Theater. No wonder Oscar Wilde is still frequently mentioned today. He seems like a pretty sharp, witty guy. The play was worth seeing. It's interesting to see the way that society has changed over the past 100 years. Some would say for the better, but I'm not so sure. Lady Windemere is almost caught in another man's apartment by her husband. Something that would have ruined her in London during that time period. She thougt her husband was having an affair with a disreputable woman and she considered leaving him. The woman was actually her mother who had disappeared years ago and wanted her secret kept. It was kind of refreshing to watch a play where things like morals, honesty, and manners were important to most people. Today everyone wants to be a character without actually having any character. I think Oscar would like that line.
