I don't believe in hexes or curses, but what is up with the Chicago Cubs. Leading three games to one with their two best pitchers scheduled to pitch at home in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field, and they still find a way to lose. The last person in my family who would have had a chance to see the Cubs win the World Series was my grandfather born in 1895. He would have been only 13 in 1908 or 12 in 1907 when they won back to back. Katharine Hepburn would have been 1 year old the last time they won. Well, like someone once said, any team can have a bad century. Let's hope the Cubs don't turn it into 2 bad centuries.
the little bang
This blog is a continuing stream of consciousness which keeps me amused, out of trouble, or at least minimally awake and is user friendly, cost effective, and may occasionally make one smile for no particular rhyme or reason.
