Ruben wins! I still think that Clay is a better singer, but Ruben should make a great role model. I hope the fame and money doesn't go to his head. I saw that Michael Jackson has blown most of his half billion fortune and is on the verge of bankruptcy. It would be a shame if Ruben were to squander his chance of a lifetime. There are a lot of kids in Birmingham, AL and the rest of the nation that look up to him.

I was driving down Waukegan Road today and saw about seven squad cars. Due to the Homeland Security orange alert and the Memorial day weekend, the police are really out in force. I guess we better get used to it. I don't think that terrorism is going away. The terrorist leaders think of themselves as scholars, but they're nothing more than a bunch of cowardly, blithering idiots. The true religious scholars would never advocate violence.

I went to Old Lion Tailors in Skokie to pickup some pants this morning. I've been going there for over ten years. It's been owned by a Chinese family for as long as I remember. Today was their last day open. I asked the old woman behind the counter why they were closing and she said that business has been so slow. It just about broke my heart. They were always so polite and friendly. Even their dog seemed happy to see me. I'll miss them.
