I went to the Mardi Gras parade yesterday in St. Louis. My sister Joanne and brother-in-law Larry were in town to check out my niece's pharmacy college. Larry's mom and dad were also along for the trip. The parade was great. I've never been to a Mardi Gras parade before. They do throw out a lot of beads, over 2 million according to news reports. Just about everyone winds up with a dozen or more. It's true that some women do flash in order to get more beads. It's an amazing site; or as one sign that I saw put it:
Funny hat and mask............15 dollars
Beer and shots...................90 dollars
Disposable camera..............10 dollars
Getting to see a fantastic set of boobs
for 2 cents worth of beads....Priceless
