Survivor night again. Where does the time go? I predict that Clay will be voted off. No real reason, he just seems to annoy a lot of people.

I found a new TV program that I'm starting to like; Boston Public on Fox Monday nights. It's about an inner city high school in Boston, although it could be any large city in the US. At first I thought it was a show about the students, but it is really more about the teachers and principals. I have no idea whether it is an accurate portrayal of a typical high school today. Certainly it is much different than my experience. I was safely tucked away in honors classes and probably missed a lot of the grittier aspects of high school life. The show kind of balances between humor and horror. For example, a recent episode was about was about a girl who was working as a prostitute to support herself and her child while attending school. A well meaning teacher tries to help her and she has the child taken away by the city. On a humerous note, last Monday the oldest teacher was trying to sell all the other teachers homicide insurance. He told one of the best looking female teachers that he personally saw death threats about her on the boy's washroom walls. He said that they wanted to "wack off her". She told him that he was probably missing a preposition.
