It's autumn. My favorite time of the year. I like when the weather starts getting cooler and the leaves turn color. Also, a lot of great holidays are on the horizon such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I was one of those kids who actually liked returning to school, something for which I was definitely in the minority. Even the approach of winter does not make me feel unhappy. My maternal grandmother was from Finland and I definitely have some of her genes that protect me from the cold. I remember ice skating as a kid when I was usually one of the last one's to leave when the temperature dropped. Ice skating, building snow forts, snowball fights, sledding, playing king of the mountain on snow piles; it doesn't get more fun than that when your 10.
